So I'm just getting home from a training in Dallas,TX. I missed my kids, but after only a day back, I'm ready to leave again. So the morning began at 4am with the dog barking. Then about 6am, my son is up bright eyed and bushy tailed ready to play. Some how, I convince him to go back to sleep. By 8am, they both my son and daughter are up and I keep hearing my daughter calling me telling me she is hungry. So much for the peace and relaxation of home!

So I give my daughter an assignment to read a book and answer some questions about the book. She doesn't do the assignment quite the way I wanted her to and when I ask her to redo it, I get nothing but lip. I restrain myself and tell her that she just lost out on going to the movies today. She then has a melt down and begins crying uncontrollably. I send her to bed. Now, I probably haven't shared that my younger sister is staying with me for a bit, so we moved my daughter out of her room back into my son's room. So I tell my daughter she has to go to bed. At this point, my son starts telling her to get out of his room. He says he doesn't want her there. Pay back is a b#%@*. These are all the things she would say to him when he would go into her room. So she goes and lays on her bed and the crying continues. Now it is time for my son to take his midday nap and my husband puts him in his crib. I guess he was sick of hearing my daughter too because all of a sudden we hear him say, "shut up, I'm trying sleep." Now me and my husband can't believe our ears and we are laughing uncontrollably. I then tell my son that it was not nice to say that. Then I hear him tell my daughter to go to the bathroom and clean her face. The things that kids pick up. The rantings of my 6yr old and 2yr old. Welcome home mom. Arrgh, motherhood!

Oh, I forgot to share exciting news. I think we are fully potty trained. 7 days and no accidents, pee or otherwise. On that note I will end with yeah, motherhood!
So, today is just a normal day in my crazy life. Went to work, brought the kids to school, picked them up from school, fed them dinner and I'm dog tired. I still have to work out and I brought stuff from work home with me. There are just not enough hours in the day. No funny stories today, too tired. Arrgh, motherhood!

So my 2 yr old son comes into my room dragging a pillow under his foot. So of course, I think here goes another load of laundry. When I ask him what he is doing, he says, I'm surfing. So as not to stifle his creativity, I allow him to continue to mop the floor with my pillow. I should buy stock in Tide. Arrgh, motherhood!

My two year old keeps my life full of both pain and joy. Well, here is some of the joy. He is truly a man in the making. I was cleaning the kitchen, washing the stove when my son asked me why was I shaking my butt. It seems even my young son knows, I have a little too much jiggle in my wiggle. Arrgh, motherhood!
So I went on a family vacation to Myrtle Beach. And as any of you know, going away with a 2yr old, a 6yr old, a 9 yr old and your husband does not really qualify as a vacation. So here is my story... As we are boarding the plane, my lovely 2 yr old son hears noises from the underneath the plane (the baggage being loaded) an he decides he no longer wants to get on the plane. This is the same kid who sees every airplane in the air and screams "avion" (Spanish for plane for those of you who aren't bilingual) or "look at the plane". I was able to coax him into getting on the plane. He then proceed to tell me the plane was going to break and then he said it was gonna fall. I attempted to to quiet him down as he kept telling me the plane was going to break. Now on the return trip, he still said the plane was going to break but now it just wasn't going to fall, but it was going to fall in the water. Oh, and here is the kicker, he told me "Mommy, the plane no like me" So what do you thing of that. Arrgh, motherhood.

So I haven't been too consistent with this blog thing. Guess why? I hope you guessed motherhood. Yes it does get in the way. Well, here is my story for the day. The kids always decide to get into mischief when you are in a rush. So I was getting ready for a wedding when I hear a crash downstairs where my 2 yr old son is supposed to be watching TV. I race downstairs and find my son had drop dog treats everywhere. After I make him pick them up, I walk into the kitchen and find he has dumped a whole bottle of the dog's powder into his bowl. So now I'm in my dress on the floor trying not to get this brown powder all over my clothes. It's hot out and I'm sweating like a dog as I'm on the floor cleaning. All I can say is arrrgh, motherhood.

So I'm going through this potty training thing with my 2 yr old son and I'm so ready to slit my wrists. Don't get me wrong, he is doing great. It's just me. I'm really just tired of finding poop in my food closet and picking up doo doo balls all over the house. What to do? More to follow.

My mission

I've read a few mommy blogs and thought, why not create my own. I thought this is a great therapy session. A way to share funny stories, trials and tribulations, advice and a way to just support one another. So here begins my journey!
